Growing up in central Florida in the ’70s, Windy Lawson had big dreams of moving to New York City and becoming an investigative journalist. Big city, bright lights, her name in bylines. A trip to Manhattan as a teenager (where did all these people come from) and later discovering what a fresh-out-of-college-with-a-fancy-journalism-degree-newspaper job would pay (wait, I’m out of college and I still need to wait tables at Red Lobster to pay my rent), she made the leap to marketing.
For nearly two decades, Windy followed her gypsy heart and worked at highly-rated concert venues, from Las Vegas to North Carolina, serving as the marketing director and chief marketing officer, leading sales and marketing initiatives that resulted in hundreds of thousands tickets sold. For Windy, it was never about the concert, it was about the fan experience – what being at the concert with 18,000 strangers meant. The memories that will last a lifetime.
In 2014, Windy fell in love with a locket and everything changed. Following “Suite strategies,” she quickly built a team with two different brands, found her way to Google page 1 with two different blogs, and established herself as your “pink-haired, flamingo-loving bestie.”
In July, 2017, Windy traded in her backstage pass for yoga pants and joined the Sassy Suite team. Her natural ability to tell a memorable story, combined with her love of empowering women to reach success they never considered possible, make her a huge asset to the coaching team. She has been where you are. She has struggled with the mindset issues that often plague direct sellers. She knows the path forward, and can lead the way.
• Direct sales can change your life, if you let it.
• It’s all in your head.
• Authentic voice is the key.
• If it was easy, everyone would do it.
• Fear is a liar.
• Put people first and everything else will fall in place.
