No matter what you sell, or how far along in your journey you are, we all started at step 1. We were all beginners once. Perhaps that was yesterday, or perhaps it was years ago.
As beginners, we wandered around like lost puppies, excited and eager, trying to soak it all up. Best practices, ideas, upline trainings, watching our role models… some of those ideas works, some didn’t. We tried again, failed once, got up twice… we kept at it.
One of the things I find in the Suite, is that because we teach a specific method of marketing that is based on relationship and value first, attraction-based principles, nothing that would be spammy or disingenuous, many are often quick to condemn the methods we might have learned as beginners, that weren’t successful. And that can sometimes sound a bit like shaming the beginner, who is just trying to figure out this whole crazy business.
I think it’s important to remember that we were all beginners. And sometimes we have to do it wrong, so we appreciate it that much more when we do it right. As Maya Angelou said, “do the best you can until you know better, then when you know better do better.”
